Previous years' models had better quality
2017 Summerland 2980BH
What I liked most: We love this layout. We actually owned the same camper, purchased new in 2013. It was stolen in 2016 so we bought a 2017 model. The newer models have automatic jacks and an automatic awning which is really nice. There are five of us and we all fit comfortably in this floorplan. There is a lot of storage, which is great.
What I'd improve: The quality of the 2017 model is terrible. We have had two water leaks from fixtures just working loose, both covered by our warranty. The valve on our water pump (used when you're boondocking) froze open so city water backfilled the freshwater tank and forced a leak in the bedroom and there's now an issue with the roof retracting from the frame.
