RV Windshield- The Bug Splatters Obscure the View

Wow, the beautiful views that you can see traveling this country in a RV. From Yosemite National Park to the Great Smoky Mountains to

RV Windshield

Yellowstone National Park to a Grand Canyon vacation...RVer's see some of the most breathtaking scenery that God has created. So, what happens when the bug splatter obscures the view?

Sure, you could take this statement as a metaphor for those RV owners that let the little things, like steps that won't retract or noisy neighbors at the campground, get in the way of enjoying their RV adventure. But, I mean literally, the bug splatters on your RV windshield can obscure the view. So, what can you do to clean off the bug splatters?

Many people have their best solution for getting bug guts off of your RV. Solutions range from car wash with elbow grease, to Preston Bug Wash, to hydrogen peroxide, but my favorite bug splatter cleaning solution is dryer sheets.I have heard of the dryer sheet method used with reused dryer sheets that are saved from clothes washing, the generic kind of dryer sheet, and the name brand dryer sheets. All seem to work well. Wet the dryer sheet and the front of the RV and the bugs come right off with a smaller amount of scrubbing. The drawback to this method is that it might dull the finish on your motorhome slightly, but it shouldn't be anything a good car wash and wax won't take care of later. So, with these tips, there should be no other bugs obsuring your view, so get our there and enjoy the ride.
